This tree has been compiled with the help of many contributors. Sincere thanks to all, and apologies to those whose information has not yet been added.

I have tried to verify as much information as possible but errors may exist. Individuals with uncertain details have a (see notes) label attached to their name.

If photos exist, they will be found in the individual's Scrapbook. Click the "ScrapBook" link in the left menu for a list. Scrapbooks can only contain a limited amount of text so I am now adding more presentable feature pages containing notes, photos and links. These pages are shown to the right of their Scrapbooks, but are presently very few. NOTE: The Main Menu (Top Left) will not work when you are in a scrapbook. Details and photos of individuals labelled as living are automatically filtered out of the Tree, however a separate list is available here for living people who have permitted or asked for their details to be published.

Robert Wood

It is not yet established if Robert is related to John Wood of Bradford & Thedden Grange.
He appears to be an adopted son of Robert H. Wood, an unmarried Barrister, aged 63 in 1851 and living at Kew Road, Richmond, Surrey. He also adopted a son Henry, 16 in 1851. All three were born in London.

Capt. John Neilson Gladstone

John rose to the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy. He was Member of Parliament for Walsall from Feb - Jun 1841, for Ipswich between 1842 - 1847 and Devizes from 1852-57 and again from 1859-63. His younger brother, William, was elected four times as Prime Minister of England.

His main residence was Bowden Park, Chippenham, Wiltshire, which he purchased in 1849.

John is entered in this tree as his daughter, Lucy Marion, married Sir Reginald Hardy, 2nd Baronet of Dunstall Hall, Staffordshire.
