Alfred Downing Fripp

Artist
(1822-1895)

Alfred studied at the British Museum and the Royal Academy of Arts.
He first exhibited, in 1842, at the Old Watercolour Society, founded by his grandfather, the marine artist, Nicholas Pocock.
Alfred became Secretary of the Society for the last 25 years of his life.
